MTI’s New Non-Contact Hybrid Probe

The new Non-Contact MTI Hybrid Probe measures the thickness of a non-conductive material, ie; paint, film, or insulation, on top of a grounded metal substrate. Measurements can be made statically or dynamically, even while the material is still wet or uncured.

MTI has combined a capacitance probe and eddy current probe into a single hybrid probe. This allows you to separately measure the distance to the metal substrate, the distance to the coating, and determine the thickness of the coating.

Using the MTI Accumeasure Measurements program you can perform the measurements and set up alarms if the coating varies from your desired thickness.
