Capacitive sensing itself provides for high accuracy consistency and full operation in magnetically noisy applications. Since the electric fields are immune to the magnetic ones we can put our probes directly in environments that have high magnetic fluctuations like inside of motor shells.
Also since the electric fields are measurements between conductive surfaces, any conductive surface, or target, works for our sensors with no calibration necessary for different materials.
Our thin probes can be secured in the most space-constrained of applications, flexible circuit boards as well as rigid circuit board based probes, and they can actually be even formed to contour to a surface like in the case of the flex probes.
Here at MTI we’re constantly innovating and improving our designs and pushing the limit of sensing technologies. We’ve developed a wide range of products to fit your precision sensing needs. Depicted here are some of the products we produce.
From left to right we have the Accumeasure wireless line, Accumeasure AS560 series, Accumeasure MicroCap, Digital Accumeasure and Accumeasure HD.
The Accumeasure Wireless Line will allow you to place the sensor in an environment where the direct placement of a sensor and wire is impossible. This allows for installation in processes that involve multiple moving parts. Since the Wireless Line has no sensor wire whatsoever, it can be mounted inside of tracks that are continuously in motion. You do need a battery for it, but it’ll actually provide for up to 10 meters of range perhaps, even more, depending on your application.
Second from the right, is the Accumeasure AS560 series which allows our technology to be incorporated into a rack mount design. This works well for companies that need to incorporate precision and stability from an integrated card-based design. Capable of operating in standalone mode as well, this solution has built-in voltage regulation to run off of any suitable supply.
In the middle, we have our Accumeasure MicroCap which provides nanometer resolution with an analog output. Applicable for when you need great precision in a small integrated solution.
Accumeasure D or Digital Accumeasure is the standalone digital and analog solution to sampling capacitance data. Providing ethernet and USB interfacing the signal is digitized on the device. This product provides extended linearity to maximize the sensing range of whatever probe is attached. With software filter, range extension, an adjustment rate up to 20 kilohertz, the system can be dynamically configured to fit your application. With digital encoder inputs for up to two signals synchronization to mechanical positions allow for positioning when raster scanning or alignment to motor shafts.
Optional analog outputs with software scaling and offset allow for compatibility with analog systems. With both single and differential outputs available this system can be used when there’s a need for extended cable lengths.
Accumeasure HD is our latest offering that resolves down to picometer levels. If you need extreme precision in silicon wafer manufacture or qualification this allows you to resolve the smallest of variations. Digital only, it offers the highest resolution of all of our products.
